Shiatsu

In the Japanese language, shiatsu means "finger pressure". Shiatsu techniques include massages with fingers, thumbs, and palms; realised on meridian.

The concept of meridian comes from techniques of the Chinese traditional medicine as the acupuncture. It is channels where circulates the vital energy of the body. An energy blocking creates in Chinese medicine an imbalance in the body and the vital energy does not circulate any more as it should.

The session often takes place in a meditative silence which allows the person to be connected to his deep being.
